Chiropractic Animal Adjustments:

Dr. Darcie Holmes-Duncan, Doctor of Chiropractic, performs chiropractic adjustments on dogs and cats at our hospital.  This is done under the supervision of the licensed veterinarian who screens the animal to determine the appropriateness of chiropractic care.  The veterinarian is on site at the facility when Dr. Holmes-Duncan is seeing patients.  There are a number of conditions that may be helped with chiropractic care such as muscle strains, nerve injury and early hip pain.  The number and frequency of chiropractic sessions is variable.  It includes regimented protocols, intermittent/periodic treatment to more ongoing visits for arthritic animals.  Animal chiropractic at Slippery Rock Veterinary Hospital is used in conjunction with traditional veterinary treatment.

Routine and therapeutic bathing services are available.  We also provide Happy Pet Medical Grooming.  Happy Pet Medical Grooming: a sedation grooming technique that can be used when a patient suffers from anxiety or has extended grooming needs.  We are happy to offer sedation grooming to make your pet's grooming experience as comfortable and happy as possible.  This service provides your dog or cat with a clinical groom (i.e. body shave, lion cut, comb-out).
